Abstract:  

This study uses Carlson's et al. (2016) Framework for K-5 Modeling Process and the Metacognitive Teaching Framework to explore what modeling facilitators do BEFORE modeling; what they see, say and do DURING modeling; and how they modify and reason with modelers AFTER modeling process. The talk will focus on the theoretical framework guiding the study, research design, and methods for data collection.
