Classification of Critically Fixed Anti-Rational Maps
Talk by Dr. Lukas Geyer (Mathematical Sciences, MSU)
8/24/2020 4:00-5:00pm Webex Meeting
Abstract:
Anti-rational maps are complex conjugates of rational maps, and studying the dynamics of their iterates is a subject closely related to holomorphic dynamics, with intriguing connections to problems in gravitational lensing. In this talk, I will give a complete description of anti-rational maps for which all critical points are fixed, through simple topological models associated with certain planar graphs. I will also indicate how this result yields a partial classification of "maximal" lensing configurations.
This talk will be through Webex.
