Abstract: In this talk, we will explore the relationship between the exit-path ∞-category of the Ran space, the Goodwillie-Weiss embedding calculus tower of knots, and finite-type knot invariants. The relationship between the former two objects is due to the recent work of Pedro Boavida de Brito and Geoffroy Horel. With this relationship in hand, we hypothesize that the exit-path ∞category of the Ran space provides a universal means through which to witness every finite-type knot invariant.
