Abstract: There have been many instances of shifted structures, for example the BV-BFV
complexes, higher connections or quasi-symplectic groupoids. The goal of this talk
is to explain the general theory of shifted symplectic structures from the point of
view of derived geometry. Derived geometry in an extension of geometry that aims at
handling singular situations as if they were generic by doing everything "up to homotopy".
We will see that this added flexibility gives us a well behaved shifted symplectic
geometry and we will in particular describe the shifted symplectic geometry of derived
intersections.
