- A standardized variable always has mean 0 and standard deviation 1. Ultimately, this will help us do future calculations.
- The z-score of an observation tells us the number of standard deviations that the
                                 observation is from the mean, that is, how far the observation is from the mean in
                                 units of standard deviation.
- It’s sign indicates the direction from the mean
                                 
                                 
                                    - “+” to the right of the mean
