March 6 - Teaching Workshop

Drs. Nicole Carnegie and Dominique Zosso (Dept of Mathematical Sciences, MSU) will be leading "Presenting Your Scholarly Work - Oral Presentations" to graduate students   Wilson Hall 1-144   4:10-5:00pm

This one-hour workshop is intended for all graduate students in the department who want to learn about or improve their skills surrounding oral presentations of their research.  Dr. Carnegie and Dr. Zosso will give short presentations full of tips for preparing and presenting oral presentations that range from the two minute “elevator pitch” to the twenty minute conference presentation to the sixty minute seminar talk.  A small panel of graduate students with experience in giving these presentations will also be available to answer questions and to share their personal perspectives.  Participating graduate students include Robin Belton, Eli Meyer, Dan Perry and Allison Theobold.
